Gain experience and instruction in mediation best practices.
We offer a robust mentorship program. Our program includes three courses and a series of co-mediations. The number of required co-mediations depends on each mentee's skills and experience.
Our comprehensive program is based on a framework of mediator skills and standards, which each mentee must successfully display. This helps new mediators learn the vital skills necessary to provide a safe and neutral mediation environment. We tailor the program to each individual in order for the mentee to achieve these standards. This allows us to provide detailed feedback on strengths and weaknesses within our framework, and focus on improving any areas of weakness. We also help mentees complete the necessary documentation for mediator certification. Students must meet our mentorship criteria to successfully complete this program and gain our mentor approval. Our program fulfils the observations and co-mediations needed to complete General District Court and Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court level certification in Virginia.
Contact us if you would like to schedule mediation observations and co-mediations, or to discuss our mentorship program. See below for course descriptions and to book.
Our trainings are held at our offices unless stated otherwise. Registration and a light breakfast is from 8:15am to 8:30am. Light refreshments and drinks are provided throughout the training days.
CMG may cancel classes for insufficient registration and issue you a full refund.
There will be no refund for cancellations made after 14 days prior to the start of a class. Substitutes are allowed. Requests for refunds must be made in writing and will be made for cancellations at least 30 days prior to the first day of class. The cancellation fee is $50.
