CMG is Richmond’s community conflict resolution center offering affordable mediation services in addition to classes that teach mediation and conflict management skills. We are a small non-profit, and our Program Coordinator plays a very important role in implementing our mission. Serving as the key staff member to our Director of Operations, the Program Coordinator is responsible for administrative tasks related to CMG conflict management programs. The primary duties are to be the initial point of contact for those we serve and to schedule mediation sessions, in addition to assisting with our training and marketing functions.
§ Data entry and database management.
§ Scheduling mediations which involves intake/screening, coordinating multiple schedules, and confirming appointments while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
§ Answering and directing a high volume of phone calls.
§ Training program registration and administration
§ Helps with marketing activities
§ Other program-related tasks as assigned by the Director of Operations.
§ 2+ years administrative/client care/case management experience with a professional services organization (legal, consulting, accounting, and financial, etc.).
§ Familiarity with the court system and/or mediation is strongly preferred.
§ High level of professionalism and strong sense of ethics.
§ Passion for serving the community and a demonstrated interest in non-profit work.
§ Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with clients who are experiencing conflict while maintaining neutrality and confidentiality.
§ Ability to quickly re-focus when moving between tasks and to work efficiently and accurately despite frequent interruptions.
§ Ability to work well both independently and in a cooperative team environment.
§ Punctual and dependable.
§ Detail-oriented and organized.
§ Ability to problem solve and think critically.
§ Ability to manage multiple priorities and anticipate necessary next steps.
§ Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Office 365 is strongly preferred.
§ Knowledge of Mailchimp and Squarespace, or similar software helpful.
Starting Salary and Benefits:
§ Around $10-13 per hour, based on experience, with the potential for performance based increases.
